More than 3,6M hectares of national parks, nature reserves and game farms which stretch over the Limpopo Province forms part of the African Ivory Route. It stretches over four mountain ranges including the Strydpoortberge, the Waterberg and the Drakensberg Lebombos. The route stems from the doings of the legendary ivory hunters and gold traders and is an important ecotourism destination and excellent for game viewing, bird watching and hiking trails.
