St Lucia is a settlement in Umkhanyakude District Municipality in the KZN province. The small town is mainly a hub for the Greater St Lucia Wetlands Park and was awarded as a World Heritage site in 1999 (Unesco). This small but quaint village has fast become a top tourist destination. St Lucia also happens to be the most visited town in Africa to witness our beloved Hippos. A boat cruise to watch the Hippos and Crocodiles is one of the most popular items on all tourists list of things to do in Africa.
